We are very excited about our upcoming Annual Meeting. This is the time for our members and yacht club officers to hear more about the achievements of RBAW in the last year and the future of boating in Washington.
This year’s meeting will be packed with valuable information for you and your clubs. Our guest speakers include Katrina Lassiter, Senior Policy Analyst, Aquatic Resources Division, Washington State Department of Natural Resources*, Senior Strategic Advisor Tom Bugert, and Mark Bunzel, Publisher of the wildly popular Waggoner Cruising Guide.
We will discuss our efforts to create a new marine park in Washington similar to our efforts preserving Sucia Island in the San Juan’s, and we will update you on the upcoming issues that we will tackle in the 2020 Legislature. This meeting will be fast paced and highly informative to recreational boaters.
* We originally had scheduled Hilary Franz, Washington’s Commissioner of Public Lands who is responsible for all the marine leases in the state to speak. Unfortunately Hilary Franz has had to cancel her appearance due to a family emergency that has taken her out of town.
